The Rams are reportedly on the verge of signing linebacker Kikiko Alonso, according to Jon Machota of TheMMQB.
Alonso, who was the team’s top-ranked player in the 2016 draft, was waived by the team last year.
He played sparingly in 2017 but made an impact on special teams with three sacks in two games.
The Rams were reportedly interested in signing Alonso, but they reportedly were unwilling to part with a fifth-round pick.
Alonso had played sparinglys in the NFL in the past, and the team reportedly didn’t want to take a chance on a player who had only played two games in the league.
